Configure the Post Date

Go to settings -- Language and Formatting and make sure Date Header Format and Timestamp are in Friday, January 11, 2013 format

      Comments are working fine in the demo. This means this template has no issues with comments. Go to your Posts & Comments page under Settings. Make sure that Comment Location dropdown has "Embedded" in it.
